Raingutter Regatta!

Scouts had a blast racing their trimarans in an evening of friendly competition and doing your best. We're happy to report that there were no sinkings or shark sightings. Some Cub Scouts do seem to have a lot more hot air than others though...

Special thank you to Akela Sal for conducting a science corner teaching each of the dens some of the basics of fluid mechanics.

Cedar Hill and Crane Swamp hike

Brisk conditions couldn't stop intrepid Cub Scouts from Pack 70 making it to the top of Cedar Hill in Northborough with a return trip through Crane Swamp. (The adults and one younger brother managed to keep up as well.)

Our next hike is planned for Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Eagle Lake Wildlife Sanctuary in Holden.

Cedar Hill Hike - Sunday, Nov. 16, 1 pm

The next installment of our monthly hiking series will take us up to the top of Cedar Hill in Northborough with a return trip through Crane Swamp. These trails offer a great mix of hiking conditions from moderate inclines to gentle slopes, wide roads and narrow paths. Scouts can try to identify all the different kinds of leaves and trees they'll see along the way.

We'll embark at 1 pm on Sunday, Nov. 16 from the parking lot at 360 Cedar Hill Road in Marlborough (click here for directions.) Go to the left hand side of the Fresenius building after entering the lot.

Please note that every Cub Scout must be accompanied by an adult. This is a family hike so siblings and other family members are welcome to join us as well.

Everyone should bring some water and snacks. Prepared Scouts will also bring an extra pair of socks (a hiking necessity!)  This event is rain or shine so dress for the weather.
