Halloween party!

Cub Scouts had a great time playing games, exploring the "Haunted House" and enjoying treats brought in by their generous parents. Thank you to everyone for making the evening a success.

Spaghetti Dinner!

On Saturday, Oct. 5, Pack 70 conducted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Ducharme Center.

We had a fantastic turnout with dozens of families, friends and neighbors arriving for supper and almost all of our Cub Scouts volunteering. We hope everyone got their fill of salad, bread, pasta and meatballs then took part in the bake sale with its array of cookies, cakes and other treats.

The boys displayed teamwork in action as they helped get the room ready, delivered food to our guests and later cleared the tables. (No Scouts had to do any dishes that night, luckily for them, but feel free to have them help with that at home!)

We also want to highlight the very generous local businesses that donated food and supplies:
- George's Bakery
- Dunkin' Donuts
- Mrs. Mack's Bakery
- Price Chopper
- Stop & Shop
- Widoff's Modern Bakery
We invite everyone to patronize these organizations and help show our appreciation for their support.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to this successful fundraiser. Stay tuned for news on how we hope to use these funds for our Scouts.

P.S. - The only downside to such a busy night is that the den leaders didn't get a chance to take any pictures. If you have any images you'd like to share please send them to worcesterpack70@gmail.com.

Bancroft Tower!

The boys had a blast on Tuesday, Oct. 1 learning about this historic site here in Worcester.
Did you know that the Tower is over 100 years old and nearly 60 feet tall?

There were also fun activities for the boys in keeping with the castle theme.

Jousting was a feat of strength and balance!
This working trebuchet launched balls of all varieties across the park. What goes further, a softball or a tennis ball?
As the sun set a bevy of bugs and bats descended. Thank you to everyone who braved these beasties so our Scouts could have an evening of adventure.

Popcorn!

Members of Pack 70 (with some help from Troop 70) did a great job kicking off the popcorn drive Saturday, Sept. 28, at Stop & Shop.

A warm thank you goes out to all the generous folks who supported the pack today as well as the Scouts and parents who volunteered their time on a lovely weekend morning. Everybody put into action the "help other people" part of the Cub Scout Oath.

The next show & sell will be on Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Lincoln St. Lowes from 9am-1pm.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Want to sell popcorn online?
